ten after tax day
1. My ability to understand the word “organic” (thank you, Miss Jordan, my high school Chemistry teacher). Items made of stone and glass can never be organic; they are always inorganic. Once one understands this, one can see how often we, as consumers, are lied to. (Also, anything that costs you money cannot, by definition, be “free”).
2. My awesome boyfriend.
3. My sewing machine, given to me by a former co-worker, Bob Anderson, who passed away about 10 years ago. Every time I use it and smell the still-lingering cigarette smell, I remember him suckin’ down three of those little Capris for the one Camel that I’d smoke during our smoke break. He was a great guy. It’s too bad that he lived in a time when he couldn’t be “out”. I will sew something fabulous in honor of Bob today.
4. My messy house.
5. Pink hair dye.
6. Vistaprint, for cheap business cards.
7. Mr. Panther, the best cat in the world.
8. webcam fun!
9. B.A.C.O.N.
10. Ramon, the guy who comes and mows the weeds in my backyard.
